How do I book an appointment?
A:

You can book online, email us or call the team.

Q:
Can I book an appointment if I am outside the UK?
A:

Unfortunately we cannot consult with patients who are outside of the UK at the time of their consultation.

Q:
What happens if I miss my appointment?
A:

If you miss your appointment please book again. We are unable to isse refunds if you cancel your appointment with <48 hours notice.

Q:
What happens if my appointment is disrupted?
A:

If your appointment is disrupted your doctor will try to make contact with you again within 15 minutes. If you do not hear from us please contact hello@deiahealth.com

Q:
Can I get a prescription during my consultation?
A:

Yes, your doctor can prescribe medication if clinically appropriate and will send you an electronic prescription which can be used in any UK pharmacy or delivered to your home address. Any medication requests made >7 days after your appointment will be suject to a prescribing fee.

Q:
How much does the medication cost?
A:

Medication pricing varies based on the type of medication and the pharmacy. Your doctor can advise you on the average cost during the consultation.

Q:
What medications do you NOT prescribe?
A:

We do not prescribe medications in Schedules 1-4.

In exceptional circumstances your GP may issue a 3 day supply of medications in Schedule 5 and will inform your NHS GP. This is for patient safety and to prevent misuse.

We cannot directly start prescribing cancer chemotherapy or specialized biologic and targeted DMARDs. These complex, high-risk drugs require hospital specialists (like oncologists or rheumatologists) to diagnose, initiate, and monitor treatment

Q:
Do you provide sick notes?
A:

Yes, if clinically appropriate your doctor can provide a sick note. You can self-certify for your first 7 days of sickness. You do not need to see a doctor for a medical note during this time.

Any letter requests made >7 days after your appointment will be suject to a £50 fee.

Q:
Do you provide emergency care?
A:

No we do not provide emergency care. If you experience any of the following symptoms please call 999:

  • chest pain or difficulty breathing
  • severe bleeding or head injury
  • sudden loss of consciousness
  • seizures
  • stroke symptoms (e.g. slurred speech, facial droop)
  • suspected broken bones with deformity
  • sudden loss of vision
  • severe allergic reactions e.g. anaphylaxis (tongue, lip swelling or difficulty breathing)

Do you rpovide out of hours care overnight and at weekends?

We provide private out of hours care (24/7) to patients on the Deia Health GP Membership Plan.
